As a Market Lead at Joe V's, you'll ensure accurate, efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflow in the Market department, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, resolve issues as they arise, work across departments and functions as needed, and foster great customer service. You'll use your Meat Market experience to effectively manage inventory and assist with ordering and production planning to drive metrics.

What is the work?
Store Lead Operations:
- Applies experience and knowledge to support the Store and Department in Manager's absence
- Leads the market team and meat cutting team in efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflow
- Delegates / directs work; assists with setting department-related expectations (e.g., ORT, wrap, safety, sanitation, 5s); motivates Partners; may coach and/or provide feedback; may help with department work schedules
- Administers / ensures compliance with company, Store, and department policies and procedures
- Applies experience and knowledge to assist with production planning and inventory control and management; takes inventory; orders appropriate product in reaction to inventory; loads, unloads, and moves products; performs quality control
- Handles Customer, Partner, and sanitation issues according to guidelines; escalating to management as needed
- Troubleshoots / reports equipment issues
- Merchandises products effectively; ensures proper product rotation and storage
- Consistently and effectively communicates to ensure highest quality and freshness standards are met
- Answers product- and service-related questions; answers calls, directs questions to appropriate department or Partner

Production / Customer Service:
- Assists in all technical areas such as meat cutting, as needed
- Execute and ensure compliance of Fresh Production Planner
- Cuts, trims, trays meat for display, according to company standards; weighs / wraps / labels product packages for sale
- Operates power meat prep and process equipment; maintains coolers and freezers
- Performs Department and cross-functional duties as needed

Food Safety / Sanitation:
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and Store and department standard operating procedures
- Maintains safety / sanitation of equipment according to standards
- Practices safety awareness; safely performs meat cutting duties at all times
- Oversees production area sanitation standards are met
- Ensures a clean and safe department and work areas, sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment

What is your background?
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- 6+ months of related experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Completion of required job skills training, compliance-related training, and division orientation

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a Joe V's Market Lead?
- Strong working knowledge of Market-related processes, training aids, and SOPs
- Knowledge of product rotation, department / store sanitation, shrink awareness
- Understanding of basic financial workings of assigned department, and how to drive profitability
- Advanced customer service skills
- Strong verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
- PC skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions; provides work direction and training to other departments personnel
- Ability to provide feedback on department procedures
- Ability to be flexible in adjusting priorities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
