Essential Functions / Process responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be knowledgeable of 95 bread varieties and 75 pastry varieties.
- Assists bakery manager with supervision of bakery partners.
- Orders and receives bakery products and supplies.
- Orders signage for department.
- Logs bakery sales and computes department sales and labor percentages.
- Maintains transfer record.
- Assists with inventory.
- Writes schedule for bakery partners.
- Wraps, prices, sells, and stocks bread and other bakery products continuously.
- Demos bread, or prepares customer samples for self-serve.
- Maintains sanitation in department.
- Takes special orders by phone.
- Provides superlative customer service.
- Monitors product quality.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
- Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Function in a fast-paced, retail environment
- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
